Rice – 2 cup
urad dal – 1 cup
Salt – According to taste
oil 2 to 3 tbsp
Green coriander – 2 to 3 tbsp
green peas – 1/2 cup (boiled)
potatoes – 4 (boiled)
mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Ginger – 1 tsp paste
green chilly – 1
salt – According to taste
red chilly powder – 1/4 tsp
coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
amchur powder – 1/4 tsp
turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
firstly we will take 1 cup urad dal and 2 cup rice and soak for 5-6 hours after 6 hours drain water and grind them. make a fine paste. after grinding mix them 10 -15 minutes.
Add 1/2 tsp salt and mix the mixture thoroughly and its consistency should be similar. fill the mixture in a container which can be properly sealed then keep it in a warm place.
Now let us prepare the filling for dosa. turn on the gas, pour 3 tbsp oil in heated pan. peal the potatoes which we have boiled before. now when the oil is hot put mustard seeds and roast
add peas and fry them. add ginger, green chilly, coriander powder, turmeric powder and fry them for some time. break the potatoes and put them in the pan followed by amchur powder, salt and red chilly powder
and green coriander. mix all the ingredients thoroughly and fry them for 2 – 3 minutes. the filling for dosa is prepared. now let us make dosa, heat the pan. pour some oil on the pan and spread it evenly with a cloth or napkin.
pour 2 spoons mixture on the pan and spread it. increase the flame. when we completed spreading the dosa. spread oil all around the dosa. put the filling on the dosa when the colour of dosa has changed. decrease the flame of the
burner once again. Now put filling on dosa fold the dosa since it has cooked from the lower surface. take out the dosa from the pan masala dosa is now prepared. prepare all dosas in the same manner. serve masala dosa with sambar.
